Medicare Insurance — Agent IQ
Medicare Doesn't Have to Be Confusing.
Between Advantage plans, Supplements, and Part D — Medicare has a lot of moving parts. We help you understand your options and choose the plan that actually fits your health and your budget.
The Three Main Medicare Paths
There's no single 'best' Medicare plan — the right choice depends on your doctors, your prescriptions, and how often you use healthcare.
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
An all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers. Often includes dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
- Combines Parts A, B, and usually D
- Often $0 or low monthly premiums
- Includes dental, vision, hearing in many plans
- Network-based (HMO or PPO)
- Out-of-pocket maximums protect you
Medicare Supplement (Medigap)
Works alongside Original Medicare to cover the gaps — deductibles, copays, and coinsurance that Medicare doesn't pay.
- Works with any Medicare-accepting provider
- Predictable, low out-of-pocket costs
- No network restrictions
- Standardized plans (A through N)
- Ideal for frequent healthcare users
Part D — Prescription Drug Plans
Standalone drug coverage that works with Original Medicare or a Medigap plan to help cover the cost of prescriptions.
- Covers brand-name and generic drugs
- Formulary varies by plan
- Low monthly premiums available
- Annual enrollment period each fall
- Penalty for late enrollment — don't wait
When Can You Enroll?
Missing an enrollment window can mean penalties or gaps in coverage. Here's what you need to know.
Initial Enrollment Period
A 7-month window around your 65th birthday. This is the best time to enroll without penalties.
Annual Enrollment Period
Every fall, you can switch, drop, or add Medicare Advantage or Part D plans.
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment
If you're already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can switch to another or return to Original Medicare.
Special Enrollment Periods
Triggered by life events like losing employer coverage, moving, or qualifying for Medicaid.
